The Heavy Holy Hard Rock Order by ~Veni-Mortem:iconVeni-Mortem:

A stronger need to separate the good from bad.
A stronger hope to cast your holy judgment.
We find ourselves here, today,
Looking upon the world with narrowed eyes.
Searching for the righteous,
So that you may purge the evil-doers.
So confident in your perception,
Believing that you’re right.
You clean the world with a god hand,
Despite your limited viewpoint.

The countless people that worship a book,
That tells them not to judge,
But still, they show their condemnation.
Twisted truths and indignation.
Full of love and speaking with a cloven tongue.
Oh, how you believe in your righteousness.
Oh, how it seems you think yourself to be God.

And shall we all bow down to you now?
Cower as we kiss your feet now?
Sacrifice our point of view now?
Can we give ourselves to you?

Yet as reality comes to meet you.
Face-to-face and pounding in your ear.
You still believe you’re better than all others.
You still believe you’re so damn holy.
You’re just human, you’ve always been human,
You’re just human, you bleed like all of us.
You’re just a human, you’re just a human,
A meek and feeble little human.
You’re not a god, you’re not a king,
You’re hardly even shit,
You’re just another person.

So tell me how can we bow down to you now?
Lose ourselves and hope, both at your feet now?
Sacrificing all that makes us whole, how?
So we can never give ourselves to you.

Yet still you claim you do the work of God.
Throwing all His children into Hell.
The hordes of sinless people,
Casting stones at the world,
In Jesus’ name, amen.

But oh, I see your benevolence.
Oh, I see your unwavering compassion.
Oh, I see you, “God’s People.”

Yes, you love me. yes, you love me.
With a bloodied club, you love me.
Yes, you love me, yes I know.
The Bible tells me so.

Nothing personal against any one or ones, just pointing out irony.

Really nice work you have up there!
It reminds me of Kira for some reason. xD
Thank you. ^^
Lol, yeah, I couldn't help but think about him when I wrote this. ^_^;

i like it, it sounds like it would be an awesome song, so now, are you talking about christianity in general? or about the pope? just curious. ^_^

I'm catching up on Death Note as we speak, so that's kind of creepy. xD
I stopped a few episodes before...you know who died...D':
I lived on spoilers until now.
Not so much Christianity, but more so Christians [not all, but a lot, it would seem]. But negating even that, many people in general judge everything as if their way is the only right one, when it's only them saying so. ^^

Right?
Highest quality anime I've ever seen. <3

Hmm, I have this random melody that I made up in my head, and I think I should turn it into a song and put words to it.
Like, a little lullaby, sung to someone that the singer is about to murder.
Like, the only words I really have in my head for the beginning are 'Hush baby, hush baby'.
Kind of a sadistic, creepy song.
true, true. i completely agree. :D but like you said, "not all" but yes a lot, most of them. which is REALLY anoying. i do like the poem. you should make it into a SWEET metal song. :D haha

'Hush Baby
Hush Baby
Don't be afraid
your pain will be ended
with the tip of my blade

Hush Baby
Hush Baby
Don't say a word
your spirit will be freed
from this cursed wretched world'

That's all I got so far.
